How to make your own eraser stamps!
Emlynn JonesI love making stamps out of pink erasers! I've even turned some of my stamps into stickers for my store, like my cute little ghosties, frogs, and star babies!
Have you ever wanted to make your own stamp? It's so much fun! You should definitely try it out!
Okay! To make your own eraser stamps, you need 3 things:

You can find these at any arts and crafts store or through my affiliated link on Amazon. (By the way, if you use the Amazon links in this article to buy something, I will earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Thank you so much!)
First, sketch your design on your eraser! Once you're happy with the outline of your design, use a marker to add a layer of ink over the whole eraser face. This will help you see where you've already carved once you start cutting the eraser away. I recommend using an alcohol-based marker for this part!

Next, start carving inside the lines of your sketch! I highly recommend the Speedball carver!
Be careful, mind you! Practice makes perfect, and you'll get better over time! :)

Okay, when you think you're done carving out your design, you can do a print test. Pat your image down with your ink pad. Keep in mind, you don't want ink inside, touching the carved inside parts. Now here's the big moment! Apply your stamp evenly and steadily to your even paper surface... and viola!

How did your first eraser stamp turn out? Need a few more touches? No worries! I usually need to do some touchups after my first test stamp.
Cut away too much, and need to start over again? No problem, that happens! Luckily, the erasers are cheap! Grab another eraser and try again! A little practice may be all you need!
